Extra-Curricular and Enrichment Offer

Our Commitment to Personal Development

At St Philomena’s Catholic School, we believe that education extends beyond the classroom. Our extensive offer reflects our commitment to Strive for Excellence, Act with Respect and Serve Our Community. We strive for excellence by providing a wide range of opportunities that enable pupils to develop their gifts, talents and passions. We act with respect by creating an inclusive environment where every pupil is valued, encouraged and supported to participate. We serve our community by ensuring that enrichment opportunities are accessible to all pupils, with many clubs offered free of charge where possible, removing barriers and ensuring that every child can benefit from the opportunities available.

Through our enrichment programme, pupils develop character, confidence, resilience, cultural awareness, leadership and a sense of responsibility towards others. They are encouraged to explore new experiences, develop their individual strengths and make a positive contribution to the school and wider community.

Our commitment is that every pupil should have the opportunity to flourish academically, spiritually, socially and personally through a rich and ambitious programme of enrichment.
