Vision

At St Philomena's, we share the love of God every day in everything we learn, do and say.

This simple vision underpins every aspect of school life. Inspired by the life of our patron saint, St Philomena, and the unique history of our school, we are a Christ-centred community where every person is loved, valued and encouraged to flourish. We believe that, by sharing the love of God through our words and actions, we can make a positive difference within our school, our parish and the wider world.

Mission

Inspired by the teachings of Christ and the example of St Philomena, our mission reflects our commitment to nurturing the whole child and building a community where faith is lived each day:

Our mission encourages every member of our school community to develop their God-given talents, pursue excellence, treat others with dignity and compassion, and make a positive contribution to our school, parish and the wider world.

Values

Our mission is lived out through our three core values. Together, they guide our decisions, shape our relationships and inspire us to grow in faith as we learn, work and serve alongside one another.

We strive to be the very best we can be. We work diligently, persevere through challenges and take pride in all that we learn and do. By striving for excellence, we honour God, develop our abilities and fulfil our potential.

Respect

We recognise the dignity of every person as a child of God. We demonstrate kindness, honesty and compassion through our words and actions, valuing one another and creating a community where everyone feels welcomed, safe and respected.

Community

“Serve one another humbly in love.”

Following the example of Jesus, we use our gifts and abilities to serve others with generosity and humility. Through our actions, we care for one another, support those in need, and make a positive contribution to our school, parish and the wider community.
